I am still a beginner but its addictive LOL. I had a huge tomato crop this year out of my 4 little plants. I was able to make some spaghetti sauce, spicy salsa and stewed tomatoes. Still have them popping up on the vines. Also got a lot of beets canned. Now that its cooling off a bit I plan on planting more things in place of the corn and beets ive picked. Probably cucumbers and some green beans. Its been really hot here in the west and those just dont do so good in that kind of heat.

I've never done any canning, but you guys have motivated me to call my local cooperative extension office to ask if they offer any classes or guides for learning.

Our gardening season is almost over lol we had a low of 34 a few days ago and today at 10am it is 41. I made some tomato sauce 
I am going to make some tomato soup to can as well. I have pickled beets, dill pickles, bread & Butter pickles, sweet relish, turnips, rhubarb, peas, green enchilada sauce, tomatoes, tomato sauce, zucchini salsa, Alaska high bush cranberry sauce, smoked salmon, regular salmon, and about 50 jars of all different kinds of jelly/jam.
