    My New Glock 20

Post by ThisOlVet on Sat Aug 31, 2013 11:45 am

Well I am writing this post with excitement. Last night I put a Glock 20 on layaway at Gander Mountain. First let me say it is used. Second it is in excellent condition. Thirdly I cant wait to have it as a sidearm for hunting. I remember long ago I went javelina hunting in Arizona and was using a Ruger Black Hawk. I was so nervous when that little mean A%% pig javelina came charging at me I about peed myself. Well back then the Glock 20 was not heard of but I must say I think I would have been a bit more confident using it instead. So anyway I was at Gander Mountain where I don't normally purchase my firearms from and there she was laying there all sweet and innocent looking whispering to me BUY ME. I looked at my soon to be wife and what does she say? She said I bet you can get that for a lot less. So the haggling began. I got it for 50 dollars less than what was marked. Which was a great deal. But all in all I had the support of my partner(which is really imperative to me) and the knowledge that I got a great deal at a place where I really didn't think you could get good deals. Did you know that Gander Mountain Price matches and not only that they will give you 5% discount on ammo purchased.

Sounds like you are getting a good deal. When does it get to come home with you?
I was also wondering about the 5% discount on the ammo... did you get that for being a Vet? or did you just ask for it? Congrats on the newest member of your family.
